Our menu offers no unnecessary sophistication, but the simplicity of true flavors: legumes, garden vegetables, ancient grains, and carefully selected local cheeses. We serve dishes that respect seasonality and the art of home cooking, as handed down through generations.

Our must-haves:

  • Lagane e ceci, homemade pasta – A great classic: fresh lagane with chickpeas grown in our gardens, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and parsley.
  • Ciambotta – A rich mix of summer vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, potatoes, and peppers), ideal enjoyed hot or cold with good bread.
  • Fusilli cilentana – Handmade artisanal pasta with veal sauce, according to local tradition
  • Pizza cilentana – Semolina and sourdough dough, topped with cooked tomato, goat’s milk cacioricotta, and mountain oregano
  • Antipasto cilentana – A taste of our land: grilled vegetables, traditional cheeses, and cured meats from our own production.
  • Cavatelli – White pasta with zucchini and courgette flowers, or with a simple sauce or a rich veal sauce.
  • Ravioli with buffalo ricotta – Delicate and flavorful, they can be served white with zucchini and courgette flowers, with a simple basil sauce, or with a rich veal sauce.

Our desserts reflect the most intimate aspects of rural tradition: simplicity, slow gestures, and essential ingredients. You won’t find elaborate decorations, but the authentic taste of home, of family gatherings after dinner, of village festivals.

Each dessert is handmade, respecting the seasons and tradition.

Among our most beloved desserts:

  • Stuffed Dried Figs – Sun-dried Cilento figs stuffed with walnuts or almonds, flavored with wild fennel.
  • Rustic Cake with Fig Jam – A soft base, homemade jam, and the enveloping aroma of lemon zest.
  • Cilento Cannolo – The highlight of our desserts: a local specialty and, par excellence, the traditional dessert. The classic Cilento cannolo is filled exclusively with white and chocolate custard.
  • Ricotta and Pear Cake – Made with fresh buffalo ricotta, hazelnuts, and pears. Two discs of soft hazelnut dough enclose a ricotta cream filling.
  • Caprese – A traditional dessert from Campania with a spectacular flavor: moist and melting inside, with a delicious crunchy crust on the outside. The traditional ingredients are eggs, butter, chocolate, almonds, and sugar.
  • Tiramisu – With an irresistible, flavorful, and velvety mascarpone cream, layered with coffee-soaked ladyfingers. We offer the most classic version, without liqueurs, perfect for any occasion.
  • Pizza Roce Cilentana – Soft sponge cake filled with custard flavored with lemon zest and decorated with naspro.
  • Jam Tarts – Available in various flavors: fig, apricot, or chocolate, made with fragrant shortcrust pastry and authentic jams.

Our meats

Our meat offerings are born from a passion for authentic flavors and careful selection of raw materials. We use fresh, quality ingredients and complement each dish with local produce.

Our specialties include:

  • Sliced ​​Steak – Prepared with select meats, served on a bed of our own arugula and topped with grated local cheese and fresh cherry tomatoes.
  • Pure Pork Sausage – Made without fennel to enhance the authentic flavor of the meat.
  • Veal Entrecôte – Tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection to retain its natural juiciness.
  • Our meats are perfect paired with our house side dishes: baked or fried potatoes, a classic green salad or one enriched with fresh tomatoes.

Reaching us is easy:
If you’re arriving by car, take the SS18 to the Agropoli Sud exit. From there, follow the signs for Torchiara and then for Rocca Cilento.

Once you arrive in the village, you’ll find U’Trappito nestled among the narrow stone streets, ready to welcome you with its authentic atmosphere. Parking is available nearby.

Authentic Cilento flavors. We tried a house antipasto with all their own ingredients; everything was exceptional, from the grilled vegetables to the caponata to the fried stuffed eggplant. The first courses were exceptional; I recommend the lagane and the chickpeas. Desserts include tiramisu and cannoli, with a yellow cream that perfectly captures the flavor of the homemade eggs. Prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality.

In the heart of Cilento, U’Trappito is first and foremost a family-run farm. For generations, we have been cultivating olive groves, vineyards, organic vegetable gardens, and orchards with love and respect for nature, following traditional and sustainable methods.

Alongside the agritourism, the farm represents the roots of everything we serve at the table: extra virgin olive oil, local wine, honey from our bees, seasonal vegetables, and sun-dried Cilento figs.
